Internal Family Systems
What is IFS?
Internal Family Systems (IFS) helps you connect with the many “parts” of yourself — the inner voices, emotions, and patterns that shape how you think, feel, and respond to life.
Rather than viewing these parts as problems to fix, IFS invites us to understand them with compassion. Each part has a story and a role in our system, even the ones that feel stuck, reactive, or self-critical. At the heart of IFS is the belief that you have a core Self that is calm, creative, curious, and capable of healing.
How IFS Supports Healing
IFS is especially helpful for:
Trauma
Self-criticism
Anxiety and depression
Relationship and attachment wounds
Shame, guilt, and limiting beliefs
In our work together, IFS can help you:
Strengthen self compassion
Get curious and gain a greater understanding for unique parts of yourself
Access a deeper connection to your core Self
Create emotional integration and empowerment
This form of therapy may be more creative in nature and incorporate elements of art therapy and exploration as we move through it. This is a perfect choice if you want to gain connection to young parts of yourself (inner child healing) or parts that are particularity loud and overwhelming. However, therapy is always at your pace and comfortable level and this model is particularly adaptable. We can make this work for you!
